Gadgetron's OmniWrench 8000 is an enlarged spanner used as a melee weapon. This is part of the OmniWrench series, yet, there are different upgrades to the OmniWrench 8000.
Ratchet used this weapon throughout the first three games. However, they seemed to increase in power and upgrades as you progressed.
Upgrades[]
OmniWrench 8000 []
The OmniWrench 8000, or OmniWrench V1, was the first OmniWrench that Ratchet used. He used this throughout the first game, and at the beginning of Going Commando. It was plain silver, and looked very much like the OmniWrench 3000.
OmniWrench 8000 V2[]
The OmniWrench 8000 V2, Ratchet found in Going Commando in a cave on planet Tabora. It was colored blue and had orange highlights and sharper teeth for more affectionate damage.
OmniWrench 8000 V3[]
Ratchet found this on a Thugs-4-Less prison above Aranos. This was colored reddish-orange with teeth much more simaller to the first wrench.
Ratchet used this wrench in Up Your Arsenal as well, however the power of this wrench increased as Ratchet increased his nanotech. However, with an Inferno Powerup, Ratchet was able to have an Infernox Wrench, which was two flaming wrenches, which had twice as much power as usual. This powerup came with the Infernox Armor as well.
Design[]
V1 Design[]
The OmniWrench 8000 V1 design was a plain, enlarged wrench which was shiney and silver. It looked far different from any other upgrades of the OmniWrench 8000, but looked very simaller to the OmniWrench 3000 from a future game.
V2 Design[]
This looked very different from the original omniwrench eight thousand. It was coloured silverish-blue with orange highlights and orange bulbs and faucets, and had sharper teeth and the basic foundation was changed. It also had sharper teeth for more damage.
V3 Design[]
This wrench was orange-red with teeth simaller to the original OmniWrench. When Ratchet turned bolt cranks, the fauscets on the sides of the wrench would blink and glow very slowly.
Infernox Powerup[]
Somehow, when Ratchet obtained an Infernox Powerup from an inferno crate, the one wrench would be cloned into two, and both wrenches would light up for a limited time.
Manufacturers[]
This Wrench was made by Minton Incorporated, and sold by Gadgetron. Minton paid Gadgetron millions[Source?] of bolts and raritanium to be able to sell this weapon in their ever so famous vendors.
